This course should provide participants with comprehensive information on principles, strategies and tools to promote sustainability in the urban environment. The topic is extremely actual, as cities face growing challenges such as climate change, rapid urbanization or the need to reduce the ecological footprint.
Course objectives:
1. Education about the basics of sustainable urban development, including environmental, social and economic aspects.
2. Presentation of best practices and case studies that demonstrate successful initiatives from different cities around the world.
3. Support of critical thinking and planning of sustainable solutions for the urban development.
„Incoming Erasmus+ students / foreign mobility students: Conditions for course completion for
incoming mobility students will be individually agreed upon and determined, always at the first
consultation. The usual prerequisites for course completion are, for example, an oral exam, a written
exam, a paper, a presentation, an assignment, etc.“
