The aim of the course is to introduce students to the interdisciplinary field of gender studies,
present basic gender theories and their influence on contemporary society and culture. Students
will familiarise themselves with key terminology used in gender theory. Students will also practice
analysing contemporary events and media texts from the point of view of gender theory.
